Digits

History

Digits came to Earth on December 19, 2056. Once on earth, it took approximately 18 days for them to finally come out of their ships and communicate with us, and on January 7, 2057, the world watched in awe as the first communication with Extraterrestial Life happened before their very eyes between these bizarre aliens and the President of the United States. After the first communication with the Digits peace lasted for almost 30 years. But on August 27, 2083, a bomb went off in the Digit Embassy Of Earth, killing 21 Digits and injuring 19 more, the anti-alien cult and terrorist group, Malus Aliena, has taken responsibility for this attack. After the Digit Embassy Bombing happened, the Digits have isolated themselves from humans and become more hostile to them, showing aggresion to any that come near their compound, located in San Francisco.

Theories and Speculation

Malus Aliena

Perhaps one of the most notorious theories comes from the ideology of the terrorist group, Malus Aliena. Their ideology has spread throughout the US and parts of Europe. It states that while these creatures are kind and benevolent now, that they will eventually gain the upper-hand and wipe us out.

Their evidence to support this theory comes from a passage in the Allus Codex stating, "...And Man will be faced with its greatest challenge, a monster that will either be its undoing or its greatest exploit. It will be an alien to them, but they must overpower their feelings and act upon what they have been taught." The Malus Aliena group believes that this passage tells them to act upon what the past has taught them, which is that the "aliens" needs to be brought to justice.

While many find this ideology to be ridiculous and disturbing, a great amount of people have subscribed to this train of thought and actively participate in in the group.

Language

Perhaps one of the most perplexing things about the Digits is their language. The Digits' native language is Cici, named after the first things they said to the president, after he made a joke. The Digits do speak english as shown by their ability to communicate with humans during their arrival, but since the Digit Embassy Bombing, they have shown a disdain for humans, and in turn the human language.

The Digit language is said to be one of the most complicated languages yet, as it is more oral than written. It has yet to be deciphered, mostly due to the fact that when they do speak their language, we do not know what they are saying, or trying to communicate, and on top of that, the Digits rarely speak their native tongue, either because they are speaking english or because they do not communicate with humans, making the whole process more difficult than it has to be.
